I would recommend you look for a reputable show breeder, someone that is actively showing. You can't really even tell on a 12 week old puppy if it will be show quality or not but it might have show potential.

There are so many different 'looks' out there depending on what part of the country you live in. Unless you are already familiar with the different lines out there, you would be best to study the different lines and maybe attend some bigger shows where there are a lot of yorkies to look at. I think you should take your time. Some of your bigger, well known show breeders will require you to sign a show contract so before you do that you have to really be committed to showing.

I think you would be better off in the long run looking for a show prospect that is 6 months or older so you will know more of what you are getting.
