You can get a scale that well weigh your puppies just about anywhere. I have even heard of some getting them from ebay. Since I bred my girl for the first time I found a website that sort of walked me through the whole process and I was weighing my babies twice a day at first. I wanted to make sure they were not gaining or at least not losing weight. I had one the vet was not sure was going to make it so I wanted to make sure she did.
I am also attaching the weight chart I extended. I know many pups are off that chart in weight, some of my babies were. Just need to change pounds to look up then back again to know weight in pounds. Opps sorry it will not let me upload this file so anyone wanting it just PM me.
