I read to try Pineapple chunks tried it didn't work
My trainer at petsmart suggested something called Nasty Habits..

Tried it puppy hated it I had to force her to eat it and it still didn't work. I'm starting to get scared that its just more then being bored because she does it if I leave her for 2 second to go to the bathroom myself and when i return she's in it :-(

Any suggestions what I should do. I have a vet appointment next Monday for her final vaccinations. Vet suggest something called Deter but I can't find it at Petsmart..
I've read that some dog foods contain a harder to digest protein, and that's why pineapple works. Pineapple contains Bromelain which is the same thing used in meat tenderizers. Bromelain breaks down the protein so that it's easier for the dog to digest. The dog isn't smelling poop, when he eats it, he's smelling protein, and this is appetizing to him. People have reported success with pineapple, and say 2-3 chunks work, you should test it at least a week before you give up. Other things I would try is free feeding, many vets believe that a dog under the age of 8 months should be free fed and that means having food available at all times. If he has available, food he won't look at his poop so appetizingly. Learn your dog's schedule, and you might be able to clean the poop up immediately. I would also consider changing the food to an easier to digest food. I think you can buy Deter online. Best of luck.
