I don't have experience with such a small dog but Jackson got his first puppy shots at 8 weeks old. He weighed 6 pounds at his 12 week appt. when he got his second round of shots, and weighed 8.6 pounds at his 16 week appt. where he got his third set of puppy shots. But he still seems so small to me, I personally can't imagine having one really tiny (nothing against those who do) but it seems it'd be a lot harder work to keep them from getting injured from even simple things like jumping off the couch.
