I have a tag and bling on all three of mine and it has never been caught on anything. I personally like to use a cat collar because they break away if they were to get caught on something. If you are getting a new puppy, I would wait to spend a lot of money on a custom collar because they grow so fast when they are tiny. I look back at Doodlebug's first collar and it was so tiny it spun on his neck even though it was the smallest collar I could have bought. Now he is 10 months old and I haven't had to expand his collar in a few months.
