I can't offer much advice since I am a first time dog owner also and mine is still a puppy.

Would it be out of line to ask her if you can take the Yorkie to your Vet for an examination? I think regardless, that would be my first priority and to get her updated on her shots.

I kind of feel badly that the poor dog is going be seperated from her family, I hope you take her.

I can tell that owning my Yorkie has been one of the best most rewarding experiences of my life. She is loyal, sweet and fiesty - such a joy to be around.

Good Luck and be warned these little dogs are addicting.
