You can change your dogs name any time. They'll get it. Just be sure to associate his new name with treats. And besides, how often are you really going to call him by his real name? Most of the time he'll be Gretzy-poo, or Gret, or baby, or sweetie, or something. He won't even know he real name! One of my boy's names is Chip and was call him Chippy or Chippy-Chips most of the time, then my other boy is Smokey and we call him Mokey or Moke. lol I vote on changing it. Oscar is really common for any animal!
