Thanks for your replies, it was lovely of you to take the time to answer my post.
I went to see Denzil last night and he cried when we left, which was heart-breaking to say the least. The vet called this morning to say he is OK but had been sick so they have upped his medication. He also said he may be able to come home tomorrow, which will be great!
I will let you know what happens,
