I can't believe you posted this because I was going to post something very similar. Prince will lick also, but his tongue is fully extended when he does it. This usually happens after he eats and it goes on for at least 3-5 minutes, at different times. I usually call his name to make him stop. If your hand is there, he'll lick that; if not, he'll lick the air!???
