When I met my husband he was afraid of dogs. My ancient Peke cured him of that.
Once I got to South Africa, Hubby didn't want puppies because he wanted to know the temperament before he agreed to keep a dog. So we rescued a few adult dogs.
He has resisted getting a Yorkie for more than four years. Finally, he agreed I could have one as a Valentine's present. On the way home from seeing Puddin's litter...a two hour drive...he started talking about our second one...we didn't even have the first one home yet! The night before Puddin' arrived, he decided on a name for our first boy (Tobermory) and allowed that I could name the next girl since he named Puddin'. Now that Puddin' is here and he knows what it is like to have a puppy (she is his first puppy), he is asking when she will be an adult so we can start making plans for the next one...
