My Cleo is in a puppy pen during the day while i work. She has a pee pee pad on one end, food and water in the middle, and her bed on the other end. At night she goes in her kennel. I throw a treat in there and she runs in after it and i close the door behind her. The kennel is right next to my bed so she doesn't think that she is alone. The first night she cried for abou 15-20 minutes and then realized that she wasn't gonna win that battle. Every night it took less time for her to calm down and now there are no cries. I have only had her since last friday (2/6) and she is about 9 weeks old. I also put in a shirt that i have worn in there so that she has my scent with her to help her feel like i am right there. |
