Yes, Isoflurane or Sevoflurane are the anesthetics of choice.
The patient can be masked down with the gas and then intubated (not usually recommended unless there are extenuating circumstances) or other drugs can be used for sedation and/or intubation. Ketamine with valium or propofol are very common.
