I wouldnt be worried with the neuter sx at all, just make sure you get blood work done before and he is healthy for sx. I would for SURE take him home that day!! Thats crazy that they want to keep him after just a neuter sx. I would just make sure I was home with him after he is done and be home with him the next day. When both my males were neutered they will only there until 8am to about 5pm then I picked them up, I made sure I had nothing to do that day and the next so I can take care of them. Peanut was really out of it the night after sx, he wouldnt sleep or anything, the next day he just layed around the house. My other yorkie pigpen when he came home from sx he was out of it but not as bad as peanut he just slept and then next day he acted like nothing ever happend!!! Different dogs take it differently, you never know how they will react but its better to be there for them!! I would never ever ever leave my baby there after a neuter esp a neuter its the common sx vets do, I am confused why they want your baby to stay esp no one will be there!!! I would definetly pick him up after he is done
and dont worry everything will go fine
you might just have to baby him, but thats easy to do
