Hi, the albon is a good medication for the parasite, but after the 14 days I would test again and then in another 2 weeks just to be on the safe side. This can come on quickly and it would be a shame to have something happen when it could have been prevented.
I had one litter that tested positive for it but for one pup it was to late and we lost it. I didn't know any were sick, I left for work that am and when I came home that evening the pup was very sick,two others didn't look to good either. I took the whole litter to the vet the next am and thats what it was. The rest were on Albon for 14 days and when we retested it was gone......
I feel I was very lucky I could have lost more. Had I known what it was I would have gone to the emergency vet that evening.
