There is a base coat available that prohibits your nails from turning yellow - but I can't remember what it is called. Always use a base coat - it helps your polish last longer, too!!!!
Sailly Hansen Hard as Nails works well, and nothing beats eating plain gelatin (or yummy jello) to help strengthen as well!!!
