do you leave him toys in the bathroom? get some good quality "teething" toys for him. i recommend a variety. they do get bored.
don't let him chew shoes! if he learns to chew even on old ones, they all become fair game. even old flip-flops have that shoe-y smell.
you can get some no chew spray to put on your wood furniture. a neighbor recommended for a fence some cayanne pepper. who knows. it's probably more organic.
the humping thing you just have to not let him do it. some people think it's cute. if you don't (like me) just don't let him. tell him no, move away, and make sure the other people in your life do the same. my 5 year old son thinks it's hilarious. he has even laughed his butt of as Edgar "gets friendly" with him. (Can't let my son say hump--It's just wrong!) I have to make sure he tells Edgar "No!"
