Princess is gonna be a mommie!! Or so we thought. It has been 41 days since her tie and we really thought puppies. Teets swollen, throwing up 2 weeks after tie, loss of appetite the following week. Her belly started to get rounder about a week ago and she seemed so tired. Like a pregnant mommy. So excited!! But everything changed on Saturday when she started acting bizarre, making wierd hacking noises, abdomen bloating and getting really hard, hacking up hairballs. Then she had gas for about an hour and everything seemed to go back to normal. This happened again sunday, and so, just to be safe (cause I am a worrier) we took her to the vet this morning and they did bloodwork. Now I am having to get her spayed, instead of having puppies, because he doesnt see them on xray, but white blood cell count is up. She really has all signs of pyometra, except fever. I wish we would have seen this coming. I am devastated. I just want my girl to be ok now.
