I have never seen the clamp and twist method done but I have heard tales that the puppies cry when the clamp is put on. It is just so simple for me to just squeeze the tail with the fingers of one hand then cut the tail with the other hand. I have to admit that before I started using the Clotisol it was always stressful doing tails because the Kwik Stop does not work that good at stopping the bleeding. I guess we all have to do what we are most comfortable with.
