I have no idea how to link my posts, but if you have water put down constantly, he will drink, then pee constantly. my friend told me that about 10m after they drink, they should go out. it helped alot.
if your carpet is not new there may have been other pets who left their scent behind. that could be troublesome. try some spray with that special stuff that kills the "pee here" scent. if he is peeing on tile, put down a sock/washrag with some vinagar on it and leave until dry. yes, it will stink a bit but dogs go in the same spot and it won't smell like a urinal to him anymore.
about the sheetrock i have no idea. they make some no chew spray that could help. make sure if you catch him in the act you tell him no! then give him something he can chew and praise him for chewing that.
hope that helps!

also, if you are going to be gone for long periods of time, don't feed him or let him have free access to water before you go. i know this sounds cruel but it helped us alot.
