Thank you everyone! It's nice to get other Yorkie owners opinions on this. Sometimes I feel like I'm being overly protective. I think even if I can just give her a couple of months to get over this surgery, then I'd feel better about doing it. I definitely want the spay done, it just doesn't seem right to do it
right now.
I've changed our vet appt to tomorrow afternoon. I'll ask her more about it then. Last time I mentioned it though, she just started rattling off the health benefits of getting her spayed before her first heat, or after her first heat, or further down the road. She's more of a "here are the facts, now make your own decision" type of vet.
