Question Strange Email about Yorkies! Is it a SCAM?

So today I received a strange e-mail at my work e-mail address. I don't know this person or how they got my e-mail address or even more so, how they knew I was a Yorkie lover.

Here is the email word for word.
Quote:
GREETINGS,
MY NAME IS JAMES STRICKLER MY WIFE AND I ARE ON A CHRISTIAN MISSION TO AFRICA AND I CAME ALONG WITH MY 2 YORKSHIRE TERRIER BABIES.AFTER A WHILE WE NOTICED THAT THE AFRICAN WEATHER IS NOT GOOD FOR THE PUPPIES AND WE HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM THE WAY WE ALWAYS DUE TO THE NATURE OF OUR JOB.

THEY ARE AKC REGISTERD. - TEACUP. HOME RAISED, VACINES & HEALTH GUARANTEE.WE NEED SOMEONE TO ADOPT AND TAKE CARE OF THEM THE WAY WE USED TO.

IF YOU CAN TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM DO SEND US A REPLY AND WE WILL EMAIL YOU THERE PICTURES AND INFORMATIONS.

WE HOPE TO READ FROM YOU.

REGARDS,
EVANGELIST JAMES STRICKLER
MOTTO: IN GOD WE TRUST
Has anyone else ever received anything like this? It feels like a scam to me, but I don't know for sure. Any info. or advice would be MUCH appreciated!

THANKS!
