I don't know but my Baxter is 16 months, and his head has gone from black to silver, and now he is getting the tan in his head. But in the past several weeks I have noticed that he is getting the silver in his shoulder area and down his sides. It is soooo awsome to watch how much they change colors. It seems like a mystery as to how they will end up.
