You will have to wait until her heat cycle is over to have her spayed. The blood vessels in her uterus are engorged with blood and the risk of bleeding is too high now.

Can your male stay at someone else house while she is in heat? That is the only real way to keep him from getting her pregnant. Belly bands, diapers, gates, etc will not work. Were you planning on getting him neutered? Now would be the time to do it. He will drive you nuts for the next few weeks if he in in the same house. He will do every to get to her and may succeed.

Why did your vet tell you to wait until she was seven months old to spay her? If she had been spayed right at six months this could have been avoided.
