that poor little dog. i'm glad she's ok after surgery but i think the rescue is insane in charging a $2000 adoption fee. who is going to pay that? just because she had surgery to repair the shunt does not mean she's a healthy pup now. she is still in for a rough life and the shunt may come back depending on how it was fixed.
