It very well could be kennel cough. Sometimes when coming to a new home they will cough some. My Barkley did for about 1 1/2 weeks when I first brought him home. My vet checked him out good and said that it probably was just the change in environment. After that 1 1/2 weeks he just quit. We have hardwood floors and he was so tiny and so low to the ground he "sniffed" up everything. Hope that is all it is. Good luck at the vet tomorrow.
