I think it sounds good that he was more responsive to you and your kids. The muscles that tense up create the posturing and could possibley (not for sure) be a result from the lack of oxygen during the event he had. If he didnt have to perform CPR very long and his oxygen levels were maintained then this shouldnt be the cause. Is the muscle tensing continuous or does it come and go? I am not a Vet only a NICU nurse. I wish I had some answeres for you. I do think it is good news that he recognizes you and is more responsive. Time really does wonders and I pray that with every day he improves. Is there any other way to perform the BAT test besides having to eat? Will he be going back to your normal Vet after the weekend? It is also reassuring that the Vet nurse said she has seen worse recover,this is her field and she knows more of the situation. I would continue to ask ALOT of questions. It is good they lowered the price. Hang in there!
