Here in Minnesota we give the dogs pills for heartworm (nasty I know) and they prevent intestinal worms also, hook, round and tape! So a once a month pill and no worries. Lexi will get tested for heartworm next month however, because she was born in Sept (still mosquito season) and they want to make sure she is negative! Good luck with Jackson!
We do have mosquitos but I only ever see them in the summertime. My other dog has heartworm medicine too. If I get heartworm medicine will it remove the worms or just control it in the future?
