I understand completely! I was widowed 3 years ago at the age of 48. I got Lucy and Rebel within a year of my husband's death and I am constantly hearing, "you need to start going out, you need a life."
I DO have a life. It's MY life and the one I've chosen for myself. I go to work and come home to my son, who has multiple challenges, and my babies. I'm not interested in dating or socializing with people who aren't in the same place in life that I am.
My parents don't understand - they're worried that I've "shut down", but can't seem to realize that I am content the way things are.
I'd rather be home..............
