Liver shunt and MVD are very very common in the Yorkie breed unfortunately. Yorkies are 36 times more likely to have a livershunt than all other breeds combined. It is genetic.
My yorkie's bile acid test came back high a couple weeks ago. We've ruled out a shunt and are doing a liver biopsy in a week and a half.
