An x-ray will determine if the groove the tendons ride in is too shallow or not. If the groove isn't shallow, it may be just a matter of waiting for them (the tendons) to firm up. I'm probably not explaining this in the best way but maybe you get the idea. Eight weeks is very young to make a determination of LP without x-rays. The breeders should be notified about this (in writing, such as an e-mail even if you call them) so you'll have some recourse in case of any dispute later.
