I used to let the others nurse after I made sure the little one. He was barely 2oz. when he was born. He was so tiny all of the others were really plump and you could see his little ribs. I took them all to the vet the day they were born. and the vet said If i could keep him alive for the first week. He should make it he is now a year and 1/2 and whopping 7 lbs. and doing great. And we waited to do his tail and dewclaws till he was 10 days old. and the other 5 were done at 3 days. Needless to say all the sweat and tears i put into him he stayed with me
