I am new to Yorkie talk, and also to having a Yorkie. My TOBY is 4 months old and in the vet ICU. he was to have a routine neuter op yesterday. He did not because he went into cardiac arrest after the anesthesia was administered. I can give you three pieces of advice. #1 Is for you to have a bile acid test and routine labs done as soon as you can afford them. They will give you piece of mind and you will have a baseline if you should ever need ore extensive testing. If the labs are not an option right now, at the very least, have them done at least 1 week prior to any surgery. #2 Do not allow your furbaby to get any anesthesia that is not given via a mask. I do not know if I will lose my baby over this, but I can tell you that I am heart broken. I have dreamt of having a baby like this for most of my life. I have only had him for 4 months. #3 If you have any doubts or questions about anything YORKIE , post on Yorkie Talk.
