I understand. I didn't mean to imply that you weren't going about researching and preparing...sorry if it came across that way. If your vet has had Yorkies, then that is good, but it's rare that you have a vet with specific breed knowledge, which is why I responded the way I did. You stated you are looking for advice from those who have experienced breeding 'personally'...you are in luck...that's exactly the kind of advice you've been getting so far.
I don't know of any breeders in NC, but Lady'sMom gave you a link to some upcoming shows...that's probably the best place to start to find a mentor. Or as I mentioned earlier, try talking with the breeder you got your little ones from--no one will know their bloodlines better than those who produced them.

You may also want to check and see if there are any kennel clubs in your area, or any facilities that offer handling classes.
