we use this too!!!
i use it the same way you do....i pour less than a dime size amount on my hands, rub it into my hands and apply it to their damp coats before i blow dry...sometimes i add a little after they are dry for an extra "shine"
i like the way it smells but i think the smell is too strong for my kids (or they are just being dramatic
lol) because they will sneeze for about 2 minutes after i put this on them and after i blow dry
