Yoda is a wonderful, magical, little guy. A few nights ago, Yoda kept barking and barking, which we thought meant he just wanted to play, since he had gone to pee pretty recently and just had dinner so we knew he wasn't hungry. So we threw some of his toys and dragged his stuffed cat around, but he didn't seem to be very interested in playing. We didn't think much of it and continued on with what we were doing. But he KEPT on barking, which was a bit odd. He also was barking from about 10 feet away, usually if he wants our attention and wants playtime, he'll bark right next to us. So I walked near him and he whisked off into the kitchen. Then I smelled a burning oily smell!
Turns out, we had boiled some water on a small pot, then we left the kitchen for a bit to do other things around the house and had completely forgotten about it! There was no water left in the pot, and luckily the pot didn't catch on fire. The worst of it was just the burnt smell that lingered around for a bit.
Thanks Yoda! You saved us! You're my hero.
Here's a couple of pictures of Yoda playing in the snow when Seattle had a big snowstorm.
