If your desire is to become a responsible, ethical breeder, then your best option is to find a breeding mentor to work with you and guide you through the process of firstly evaluating your dogs--at this point, you really have no clue if they will even develop into quality specimens of the breed that even should be bred. He/she will also guide you through the actual breeding/whelping/raising a litter process.
You can read all the books and online info in the world, but it's no subsitute from learning and seeing first hand by having an experienced breeder to work with. |
