My babies both did not get potty trained until they were about 7 months old. My boy Bowden is really good and NEVER has an accident, he will hold it all day. The girl if I am not consistent with her will still have an accident occassionally.

What I did to train them:

Be consistent!!! Take them out every hour on the hour for a couple days. If you work, you can spend a weekend really enforcing this technique.

Walk them until they go potty. Dog's like to walk and wander and you can't just stand outside and watch them and wait. Let their nose guide them as this is their sense they use to smell for a spot to go potty.

Make a HUGE deal about it when they go, and give them a treat when they do.

I know people don't agree with putting dogs noses in their accidents but I did it and it worked. They do not want to smell that and know when you are upset and will do anything to please you.

Just remember be patient and consistent!!!
