If you're looking for a sturdy yorkie, there are some out there! My girl who I got through a rescue weighs 12 pounds, takes 7+ mile hikes with me, and has even scaled a few snow-topped mountains at my side. I don't think anybody would ever accuse her of being less than robust, and it is really great fun to come across other hikers on a trail who comment on how my little dog has more energy than they do!
