Finally after 7 days and specialists our little Sam was diagnosed with a intra-portal shunt today.

My vet send all of his tests and scans to some University that is doing a research study on this and we are waiting to see what the recommendation is~but he told us that Sam's is probably NOT one that they can operate on.

I know that some of you have babies with shunts and was wondering how they are and if it has impacted their quality of life?

Also my Chloe is from the same bloodlines as Sam. I did some inquiring and was told that their mothers are half sisters by sire........was hoping some of you with breeding backgrounds would be able to tell me if this is a concern??

We are going to have her tested just as soon as things calm down. But for now I am so scared for our little Sam~
