Living conditions and especially genetics play a big part in whether the puppy will be healthy. Buying from a reputable breeder is the best. I would recommend you visit the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America - Breeder Referals. Those are reputable breeders, and are listed by state. Prices depend on your area and also your breeder.

You will be able to learn a lot here from reading and asking questions. Definately take your time and do your homework...You will never be sorry.
