Default quiet yorkie

I've had my yorkie for about a year, and he was about a year old when I got him. He never played with toys but would play some with me when I first got him. Since then, he's gradually gotten quieter and less playful and more aggressive towards my husband (barks everytime my husband comes in the house and at other various times--to the point that he occassionally tries to bite). He rarely lets me hold him and doesn't want to snuggle with me anymore. He used to go to sleep in my arms when I sat at the computer but now he won't even let me hold him. I've had him to the vet for his shots and stuff and he didn't notice any health problems (other than skin/coat, for which a shampoo was prescribed). Also, he used to sit and let me put his harness on but now he cringes. The only time he really acts glad to see me is when I come home from wherever--if I've been gone all day or if I've just stepped outside for a few minutes, he goes crazy, running in circles and nipping at my hand, laying on his back, wagging his tail, and jumping up at me. He does like to ride in the car but once we get in the car and settled--he goes to sleep in the back seat or on the floor at my feet.

I've never hit this dog! and my husband swears he hasn't either. I have seen him swing his cap or a paper at the dog when he tried to bite but I believe my husband when he says he hasn't hit him.

Does anyone have any ideas about the change in the way this dog acts? The aggression towards my husband worries me but less than his indifference towards everybody and everything in general!
