Now I find that the vitamin/supplement has to be specific also, not just any doggie vitamins. I have rec'd a lot of good advice from YT and now give Roxy vanilla activia in addition to her vitamins. I now understand from YT'ers that I need to supplement phosphorus and calcium, the vitamins have that but are not specific about how much my baby needs- it only lists what % is in the vitamin-that's no help! I am looking into using something called missing link in the next few weeks. Anyone ever use it?
Missing Link isn't concentrated enough for homecooking. Additional supplements will need to be added if you use it. The only all-in-one for homcooking that I know of is Balance IT, however, the regular Balance IT Canine contains menadione (not very good). I use Balance IT K but it is meant for dogs with health issues, so I'm not sure you can use it in a healthy dog. There are some recipes online that are balanced but nothing that I really like. It is really best to just talk to a nutritionist about your particular dog.
