Every dog is going to be different.
I was supposed to have Fiona spayed on 11/4/08, which would have made her 7 months old, which I didn't want to wait that long, since your typically supposed to get them done by 6 months, however, that can change on weight and what not, so of course she turned 7 months on 10/29/08 , and came into heat on 11/1/08, so we had to push her spay back until 11/25/08 and she did fine.
