My best friend's family had a dog with this but they called it cryptorchidism (sp) but that pretty much means retained testicles. Their vet also said that if they aren't there by 12 weeks then they are more than likely not going to drop. He told them that he would be a normal dog and he could possibly impregnate a female if one of his testicles did "drop". He did definitely say that some vets believe that it is passed from generation to generation. The dog never worked out as a breeder for them, so I guess you have to decide whether or not to trust the breeder. If she says wait a year is she willing to amend the health certificate or contract to 18 months since she is asking her to wait? |
