It all depends what works for you. If it is working with her sleeping next to you and you don't mind, go for it. I don't think there is a right or wrong for sleeping...just safety! As far as putting her in her kennel so you can clean, she just has to get used to the kennel. Try putting a treat in there with her while you aren't cleaning but stay right there with her so she gets used to the idea. Just a few minutes at a time. If she c ries, wait til she stops to let her out becasue you don't want to reward her for crying, she will always do it! There are times for safety reasons, she has to be in there, so she has to get used to it!
When I clean Daisy's area after work, she is so excited to see me that she is climbing all over me! I usually put a treat in her mini kong to keep her busy while I clean, after giving her love of course!! |
