I don't know if there's anything that can be done about her taking the money, but I feel taken advantage of. I bought two cookbooks, one for myself and one for my mom. I only bought them thinking the proceeds were going to YorkieTalk. If it weren't for that fact, I wouldn't have paid almost $50 for these two books including shipping to Canada. I'm glad I got them, and I've made some delicious recipes, but it was absolutely wrong to lead so many people to believe they were buying the book as a donation to the site.
I have also been scammed by another member here too... I didn't exactly PAY for anything, but I wanted bows made and she asked me to just buy ribbon and jewels and everything and ship it to her (for $11 shipping!) and she would make them. A year later and I haven't heard a thing back, except that she started a new job and didn't have time yet.
It really goes to show that no matter how well you think you know someone or how long they have been around, this is still just the internet and it's hard to really trust anyone.
