Wookie had one about a month ago on his ear. I was horrified!!!! I got it off, made sure none of it was left in the skin and just kept an eye on it. The next day there was no redness to it at all, just a small bump. Now it is still a very tiny hard bump, but nothing else. My vet said that I would have known within the first few days if he was going to develop any diseases that ticks carry.

I just felt so bad because I don't use Frontline frequently. Only a couple times during the seasons when fleas and ticks are worst. I just don't like the idea of putting chemicals on him that stay in his system. The problem is there is no natural products that are effective! I guess since we have had crazy winter weather (20 degrees one day and 80 the next) the bugs are more active than they should be. Guess I will have to get some Frontline. From what I have been told if you can get the original Frontline, and not Frontline Plus it is more gentle, has less harsh chemicals.
