you are very welcome and i am so glad you have a vet appt! it will be great to ask the vet and see what s/he thinks

and yes, you should be able to feel the ribs when you run your hands down their bodies (i mean the bones should not be protruding and you should not be able to see them) ... you may have to press down a little to feel their ribs but not too much ... little dogs are much different than bigger dogs (my last dog was a 90lb german shepherd so i know what you mean about that ) and it is not healthy for them to be overweight ... they are so small structurally, that extra weight can put added pressure on their joints and legs ... glad you asked about sullie and i hope the vet can help put your mind at ease

and i agree with chrissy, the amount of food to feed will depend on the kind of food and the quality of the food...the lesser the quality, the more food they will eat to meet their nutrition needs
