This is so similar to what happened to a friend of mine. The way I became friends with her was because, her story about her yorkie was written up in the paper. Do you think you can get a newspaper of TV station to do a story?
That way news of BearBear reaches a huge audience. A reporter might be interested in telling this story because you intrusted a breeder - someone doing business with dogs. This would make a story that would bring viewers/readers in! I'm sorry to put it this way, but in dealing with the media you need to give them a reason to do your story.
My friend and her husband, did sue the person, but that did not bring their beloved yorkie back. I pray for a better result for you
