This is EXACTLY why I am going to start gettin involved with THLN (TX Humane Legislative Network) who works with the HSUS. We have some of the worst and undefined laws regarding animal rights and welfare in TX and I want to help do something about it! Good for you!! I really need to start focusing there myself. The laws here in TX are dismal. I saw a post on a Yahoo group the other day where someone said that the only time anyone does anything to help animals in TX is when the cameras are rolling. I am not sure that is exactly true...but, the problem is that people see those shows and think that TX is doing a lot about our problem when it is so far from the truth. The Animal Control people are extremely limited in what they can do. As long as they are providing shelter and water that is all that is needed...and there really is no definition that I can find what that shelter must be. Very sad. Thank you for the link!
